The Dallas Express was originally an African American newspaper founded in 1892 as the Dallas Bee, but in 1893 was renamed the Dallas Express. It had an important role in African American journalism.

The publication of the Dallas Express ceased in the 1970s.

In 2020 a wealthy Trump donor, Monty Bennett, founder and CEO of Ashford Inc., a publicly traded company purchased the Dallas Express. Though it hadn’t been published it can be purchased.
