Vietnam Catholics plan to bother you at your work place. Charity is actually self-serving and not charity.
This is about discussing making Vietnamese Catholics an Evangelistic force to convert Vietnam.
Union of Catholic Asian News, Oct. 16, 2026, "Vietnam’s Church must confront obstacles to evangelization."
Faith must also extend beyond parish and family life into workplaces and relationships with people of other beliefs. To proclaim truth, justice and compassion, the Church must embody these values.
So-called charity work really isn't charity work. It is for their own benefit.
Religious sisters working among Pa Co ethnic communities in A Luoi, central Vietnam, offer an example of how this witness can take root.
After severe floods in November 2025 destroyed crops and livestock, they provided food, poultry and help with medical expenses for the family of John Baptist Kan Don, whose wife had broken her leg.
“We are happy that the sisters are present among us and come to our help in time,” he said. "They are real members of our community."
His family became Catholic in 2024, and 20 community members have embraced the faith through the sisters’ presence and service.
